1931 Ford

We just love restoring antique Fords. This ’31 came in from a good friend, and it wasn’t too bad. Just the usual older restoration that wasn’t done quite right, no big dents, no rust to speak of. One of the photos shows the biggest problem we had to deal with in our restoration work, the last paint job was not properly prepared by etching the bare steel. So the lacquer paint ended up peeling up in spots, and cracking more than it should have.

The mechanical systems of the car were in great shape. All we had to do was rebuild the carburetor. We didn’t do any work to the interior or electrical systems.
