1963 Lincoln Continental: Classic Car Restoration

A classic car restoration is whatever our clients desire. Some clients like to take classics, like this 1963 Lincoln Continental and make them even better.  When our client shipped this Lincoln to us, it was in pretty good shape, what a lot of people would call a “20 footer”.  But our client wanted it to be better, and he demands perfection, with any project that he undergoes.  That is where we come in.  We started off by disassembling the vehicle and then stripping it down to bare metal, to make sure that we had good metal to work with and that no flaw would be left uncovered.  Next we repaired any body imperfections and primed the entire vehicle.  Our painter took his time block sanding the body and then repriming, guaranteeing laser straight panels.  Even though the vehicle is painted and cleared, we will block sand one more time with 600 grit and re-clear.  Finally Dan will wet sand and buff the paint to give it that ten miles deep look.  When the car does go back together it will really shine because every piece of stainless and chrome has been restored.  This car was a ton to drive in its day, with a big 462 cu in engine and a 3-speed Turbo-Drive automatic, but we can always make it better.  Mechanical upgrades come in the form of throttle body fuel injection, air ride suspension and big disk brakes.  And since you spend all your time in the car we do not want to short change that area.  We will be making custom two tone leather seats and door panels with a black cloth convertible top.
